Terms of service.
Plain-language terms for ordering an EyeJoy. The studio is operated by Mad Growth BV, Amsterdam.
Who we are
EyeJoy is a trading name of Mad Growth BV, registered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. By placing an order you agree to these terms.
Ordering and payment
Prices are shown in euros and include applicable VAT unless stated otherwise. Payment is taken at checkout. We don’t charge for a retake if your photo doesn’t work — we only proceed once we’ve rendered a usable proof.
Your proof and approval
Every order includes a proof, sent within 48 hours of upload. Nothing prints until you approve it. If you’d like changes, we render again at no cost. If, after several attempts, the result still isn’t right, we’ll suggest a new source photo or offer a refund.
Shipping and delivery dates
We ship to the EU, UK, US, and Canada, with delivery within 7–10 days of your approval. Where you give us a target date at checkout, we confirm the schedule before payment. Delivery estimates are made in good faith but aren’t guaranteed against carrier delays outside our control.
Returns, reprints, and refunds
If you or the recipient don’t love the piece within 30 days of delivery, we’ll reprint or refund — no return shipping required. Because each EyeJoy is made to order from your own photo, this guarantee replaces a general right of return for change of mind.
Your artwork and rights
The finished artwork is yours to keep, display, and gift. We retain the rights to our rendering pipeline, brand, and the methods used to create it. We may show anonymised pieces in our gallery only with your permission.
Your photo and privacy
Your iris photo is used only to make your artwork and deleted within 30 days of shipping. The full detail lives in our privacy promise.
Acceptable use
Upload only photos you have the right to use. For a gift-flow order, the recipient uploads their own photo. Don’t use the service to create artwork from someone’s image without their knowledge.
Liability
Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
